The Miss Namibia pageant will be taking place in August, thus far, the contestants have been revealed and underwent pageant training as well as their preliminary interviews for the selection of the finalists which will be announced on Saturday, 09 July 2022 for the 31 Miss Namibia contestants and Sunday, 10 July 2022 for the 21 Miss Teen Namibia contestants.

The public can still look forward to the top finalists visiting the Erongo region. The Miss Namibia finalists will be headed to the coastal town of Swakopmund on Monday, 11 July 2022 where they will visit various charity organisations and local tourist destinations whilst the teens will have a two-day excursion to Gocheganas.

The organization will also host a sponsor’s event where the public can look forward to a big announcement to be made about the pageant on 22 July 2022!

As for this weekend, the public can look forward to a great runaway show by the contestants who themselves will be anxiously waiting for the announcement of the Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia finalists! The contestants are not only beautiful but talented, educated and well spoken! The selection process was gruelling and really tight simply based on the various expertise the contestants have to offer not only the pageant but the country too!

The Miss Namibia Preliminary Judges: Gerine Hoff, Odile Gertze, Beaulah Boois-Beukes, McBright Kavari and Dr Esperance Luvindao had a massive task before them selecting the Top 12 as was equally the case for Miss Teen Namibia judges; Andeline Wieland, Ilke Platt, Rukee Kaakunga and former Miss Namibia winner, Nadja Breytenbach.

The contestants of this year are equally all giving back to the community with various charity organisations and causes – they are ploughing back into their communities without the title and that is very commendable and inspiring to young women across the country.

Compared to last year, the organization is looking forward to hosting an actual live event! In the advent of COVID-19 and regulations set in place, the Miss Namibia pageant was a virtual crowning ceremony – this year, the organization is able to accommodate the public.
NBC Corporate Communications Officer and Miss Namibia Preliminary Judge, Beaulah Boois-Beukes added: “Following the huge announcement to be made later this month, the Miss Namibia organization will reveal upgrades in prizes and incentives for the winners and then we can answer the “what will happen differently this year” question – but until then, watch this space!”

Tickets to the Miss Namibia Winter Bash and Miss Teen Namibia Luncheon are still on sale and available at the broadcaster’s Head Office in Windhoek or obtainable countrywide by calling Elvira on 061 291 3142/3 or sending an email to missnamibiapageant@gmail.com
