THE power of community support was on full display as the NBC Cares Initiative, Miss Namibia Organization and Spar Oshakati joined hands to make a positive difference. Through a heartfelt gesture, they demonstrated their commitment to giving back to their beloved community.

Spar Oshakati generously contributed nappies and lunch packs to the value of N$ 20,000 to the Dr. Frans Indongo’s Special Care Centre in Oshakati. This contribution not only represents the material value of the items but also the spirit of caring and unity.  “We extend our sincere appreciation to Spar Oshakati and the Foundation Founder, Aili Shilongo for their warm welcome,” expressed NBC Public Relations Manager, Beaulah Boois-Beukes. She added, “We commend Shilongo’s exceptional work and eagerly anticipate future collaborations that will undoubtedly amplify change within our communities.”

Miss Namibia 2023, Jameela |Uiras, stated: “Early childhood development in differently able children and youth empowerment are closely interconnected and greatly resonate with each other. When children with special needs receive appropriate early childhood development interventions and support, it not only helps in their overall growth and well-being but also sets a strong foundation for their future empowerment. As Miss Namibia 2023 and the NBC Care trust ambassador I am extremely grateful for corporates like the NBC and Spar Oshakati for empowering these young kids through inclusivity so we can cater to their needs.”

The partnership between the NBC Cares Initiative, Miss Namibia, and Spar Oshakati is a reminder of the positive impact that can be achieved through collaboration. This heart-warming initiative not only benefits the recipients at Dr. Frans Indongo’s Special Care Centre but also sets the stage for a more inclusive and brighter future.
