18-year-old Oriana Ribeiro has been crowned Miss Teen 2023. She takes over from Zoe Karsten.
Ribeiro is an advocate for a change of mind-set, and she believes circumstances do not dictate one’s quality of life but the way one thinks about it. She excitedly highlights why she entered the pageant: “I entered Miss Teen Namibia 2023 because I knew that being a part of this competition would help me overcome my severe anxiety of public speaking and inspire selflessness within me, allowing me to make greater contributions to society. Additionally, I saw it as an exciting opportunity for personal growth and a chance to experience incredible moments that would shape my life forever.”

Oriana Ribeiro:
I used to be a radio presenter at Lifeline/Child Line for the Uitani Child Line Radio Show.
My biggest role models are Zozibini Tunzi (Miss Universe 2019) and Cassia Sharpley (Miss Namibia 2022).
One of my favourite hobbies is learning new languages, and I am currently studying German.
When I was younger, I aspired to be a fashion designer and would ask my parents to buy me every Top Model designing book that was released.
I absolutely love reality TV shows, with The Kardashians and The Real Housewives being among my favourites.
