The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) production team went above and beyond the call of duty with the 2023 crowning ceremonies for the most prestigious beauty pageant on the Namibian social calendar.

It was lights, camera, action from the minute the production team entered the coastal town of
Swakopmund as week-long rehearsals took place to set the stage for the crowing of Miss Teen Namibia and Miss Namibia 2023!

From the production team consisting of 45 members to the local designers to the finalists themselves, around the clock work went into hosting truly national and world class crowning ceremonies.

18-year-old Oriana Ribeiro has been crowned Miss Teen 2023 whilst 23-year-old Jameela Uiras
was crowned Miss Namibia 2023. Prior to the crowning, the team had taken to regions in the country to ensure that every aspiring Miss Teen and Miss Namibia hopeful had been given a chance to enter for the first time in the event’s history.

Another first was the host city, Swakopmund who boasted a spectacular venue at the MTC Dome!
The Director General of the NBC, Stanley Similo, had words of encouragement for the young girls during both crowning ceremonies and thanked Debmarine Namibia for their contribution as main sponsor of the Miss Namibia pageant.
