Miss Namibia 2022, Cassia Sharpley is gearing up for the 71st Miss Universe Pageant where she will be representing her Motherland, Namibia at this prestige international pageant. In preparation, Cassia traveled to the Coast for five days with the Miss Namibia team in to produce content for her entry and to promote her social cause on various Social Media platforms in anticipation of the International Pageant.

On September 5, 2022, the crew travelled to Project Ileni Tulikwafeni – House of Hope & Trust, a child nutrition and health program facility at a resettlement camp outside of Okahandja. Miss Namibia met 400 orphans and vulnerable children who reside at the house and receive daily lunches as part of Cassia’s outreach program, powered by NBC Cares Foundation. They further travelled to Swakopmund, where upon arrival, the crew filmed more content including her time at the Dead Sea for a glamorous photoshoot on Day two and subsequently Cassia, went to pose in the majestic and beautiful Spitzkoppe peaks. The Spitzkoppe is a collection of bare granite inselbergs that is found in the Namib Desert between Usakos and Swakopmund and is the oldest outcrop of granite, which is more than 120 million years old, located 1,728 meters above sea level. The peaks sharply contrast with the adjacent, flat low laying lands.

To conclude on her journey, Cassia Sharpley was welcomed on the Lady Victoria boat where she went on a boat cruise with the rest of her crew members and was treated to ocean deep serenity. Cassia believe community upliftment, she has deep sense of humility and empathy “What matters is what you leave behind with the people you meet, not who you meet.”

The 2022 Miss Universe Pageant will be the 71st edition and it will be held on 15 January, at New Orleans Convection Centre, Louisiana in the United States of America. The event will be broadcast Live on NBC and all Miss Namibia social media platforms. The NBC Care Foundation Wishes Cassia well in her preparation for Miss Universe International.
